Open Question: Fashion Advice Please - which dress is best?! high fashion or flattering.?

I'm re-asking this because I didnt put photos of the dresses before! Hopefully some of you lovely stylish ladies can help!! I am going to an event and need to look fabulous and have the option of: 1. A plain simple dress which doesnt stand out on its own makes me look about 3 dress sizes smaller so I feel confident in it. 2. A beautiful, intricate high fashion dress which doesnt quite fit perfectly and is strapless but will make people go 'aaahh.' I'm quite fashion conscious so I' not used to wearing really plain dresses, but I do feel thin in it... Which one should I wear?!?!? I want to be noticed!! I am organising a Rat Pack style party for my husband's 40th birthday and i want the guests to dress in the style of the era. The men will wear black suits and black dickie bows, but i'm not sure what to suggest for the women. I want to look as glam as possible. Any suggestions?

I have a feeling WWE will try to do something historic on this night ten years after Wrestlemania 17, I feel this Wrestlemania would certainly be historic. 1: Intercontinental Championship: Evan Bourne VS Rey Mysterio(C) -------------------------------------------Build Up-------------------------------------------- At the RAW after the Elimination Chamber, Evan Bourne beats Dolph Ziggler to become #1 contender to the Intercontinental title at Wrestlemania. In the following weeks, the two stay friendly, but the RAW before Wrestlemania, they have a bral witch ends in a draw, neither man getting the advantage. ----------------------------Winner---------------------------------- After a grueling match, Evan Bourne wins with the second air-bourne of the match at the 16:43 mark. Match 2: Extreme Rules Match: John Morrison (w/ Melina) VS Jack Swagger -----------------------------------Build Up------------------------------------------ This fued starts when Morrison eliminates Swagger from the Royal Rumble and Swagger brutally attacks John Morrison. in the weeks going into the Elimination Chamber. Swagger beats the holy hell out of Morrison, he finally takes it to a new level at the Elimination Chamber PPV, when he attacks Melina backstage, Morrison then brutally attacks Swagger on RAW, it is announced that they will have a Wrestlemania match, but Morrison doesn't want a match, he wants a fight, so he announces an Extreme Rules Match. -----------------------------------Outcome------------------------------------ At Wrestlemania, Swagger downs Morrison and tries to go after Melina, as he is about to strike, Morrison takes control with shots with weapons, he gets the win with Starship Pain at 14:23. Match 3: CM Punk VS Kofi Kingston: -----------------------------------Build Up----------------------------------------- This starts when Kingston inadvertantly hits Punk with a steel Chair in a six man tag match on RAW. Punk beats down Kingston for two weeks, until the night before 'Mania, when Kofi cuts a promo on Punk and hhits him with a steel chair. -----------------------------------------Outcome----------------------------------------------- Kofi controls the majority of the match, until Luke Gallows hits Kofi with a steel chair when the ref is down, Punk sneaks for the pin at 13:21. He challenges him to a match at Wrestlemania, but 'Taker declines, 'Taker takes beatings from Sheamus over the next three weeks, until excepting, epic promo's from these two lead up to a Wrestlemania Match. -------------------------------Outcome---------------------------- Undertaker wins in a good but not great streak match in 14:07. Match 6: The Miz VS Chris Jericho. ----------------------------Build Up----------------------------- This starst when Chris Jerhco turns on the Miz in a Tag Title Match, turning face.The build is pretty standard from then on. -------------------------------Outcome------------------------------------ Jercho wins a hard fought battle in 10:06. Match 7: Tables, Ladders and Chairs match for the WWE Championship: Edge VS Christian ------------------------------Build------------------------------- The fued starts when Edge wins the World Heavyweight Championship in December. Christian states how there is no doubt Edge has gotten the bwetter of their tag team, but they have never squared off face to face since. FASHION EMERGENCY! Haha, hey there. So I wore it wear with jeans but while I was just surfing the net and on bluenotes page, i noticed it's actually a DRESS. haha, so what do I wear it with b/c when I don't wear pants and just the 'dress' it looks tooo short, and with shorts or something, you can't see the shorts. it works with skinnies, and maybe tights. but anything else? ALSO, I have very thick hair for the average lady..it's not extremely thick but b/c it is naturally curly, it tends to look more volumized. Anyways I was thinking of getting this particular haircut (http://www.dailymakeover.com/appImages/galleryImages/all_womens_looks/Jessica_Biel+Aug_07_2008.jpg), do you think it would work? like, if i thinned it a bit of course, but would it go okay? any tips to maintaining hair and just making it look fine and work with my hair characteristics would be AWESOME!
