Resolved Question: Men only what do you feel about women not wanting to take your last name after marriage?

I personally don't see what the big deal is. Are these womens' egos so fragile that a simple name change to show you are a family is going to cause them problems with their inner identity? I can see why women will want to keep their name in a professional sense even though that is even a bit silly imo. I genuinely think it's an insult not only to you but to your family. Maybe I am old fashioned and I'll accept that criticism as the world doesn't revolve around what I think. However, it does seem to me apart from the lack of tradition to be utterly petty and childish. I would worry about a women's maturity if she makes this an issue. What other petty things would she see as an issue? Yet she'll expect other traditions of marriage to be 'religiously' adhered too. So I am really just asking is why are women so petty about petty things these days? What's in a name?! @Jade if his name is something like spottybottom that's fair enough. @Run and tell I know the feminst point of view that's why I said men. I am not really interested what feminsts think I am more interested in what men really think about it hence 'men only'. @ K, fair enough.
